Right about the end of the first half, the roar returned from the long-suffering North faithful. The Coogs had evened the score against Sharyland 14-14, and then taken the lead by 2 on a sack and safety by junior Arnold Gomez. With less than a minute to in the half, Friday Night Lights once again shown on the Coogs and the rooters buzzed like a sack of bees.
They would get dominated in the second half, surrendering 34 points in a row against the perennially tough Rattlers to lose 48-16, but the signs were there for a resurgence, after the 1-9 nightmare in 2010.
